Bullish Tuyisenge warns Rayon ahead of CAF Cup clash

No team can beat us at home, Rwandese Jacques Tuyisenge ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup clash against Rayon Sport on Sunday.

Tuyisenge, who played the first leg match in Kigali that ended in a 1-1 stalemate, acknowledged Rayon is a big team but observed they have no chance against them (Gor) at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.

With both Gor and Rayon still having a chance to make it to the quarter finals of the CAF Cup, the former Rwanda’s Police FC ace has underscored the need for sealing the last four spot on Sunday.

“I know the team well, it is a strong side but I beleive no team can come to beat us here. We have done the best in our preparations and we are hoping everything will work to our favor come Sunday,” told Tuyisenge, who left the Friday training at the Camp Toyoyo heading for medication.

He also appealed to fans to throng Kasarani in large numbers, and ensure the home advantage is well exploited.

“The major difference between a visiting team and the hosts is felt if the fans do their part, otherwise the work on the pitch is almost the same. We are sure we will do our part, and give fans the value of their money…” added Tuyisenge, hoping to have fully recovered before the clash.

Meanwhile, captain Harun Shakava is not allowing any distraction ahead of the crucial match.

Shakava was the centre of discussion since the announcement of the Harambee Stars 38-man squad by head coach Sebastian Migne in the midweek, that he missed out before he was surprisingly added.

“I did not influence anyone whatsoever to include me. Those were just views of the fans and media reports, and I can’t talk about it. I’m fully focused ahead of the match (Rayon). My work is to keep improving on my weak areas leaving the rest to the coaches,” said the K’Ogalo skipper.

Harambee Stars is preparing for a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana next month.

A win for Gor in the match will assure a place in the CAF Cup quarter finals with a match in hand against USM Algers of Algeria on August 28.
