Carthage strike again as Kenya Prisons fall short in Tunisia

Kenya Prisons were handed a straight sets defeat by Carthage on Wednesday as their hope for a first women’s African Clubs Championship title in eight years ended at the semi-final stage in Kelibia, Tunisia.

The Tunisian giants Carthage won 25-17, 26-24 and 25-10 to reach the finals for the third time in a row having knocked out the Kenyans in two of those occasions.

The 2017 champions will Friday face the winner of the other last four clash between Customs of Nigeria and their compatriots Sfaxien who were scheduled to face off later Wednesday evening.

Prisons, who have won the continental title five times, will fight for the bronze medalist during Friday’s playoff.
