Casa Mbungo optimistic Leopards poor spell will end soon

AFC Leopards head coach Rwandese Andrew Casa Mbungo is positive his players will soon get the desired results after they succumbed to a 0-1 defeat in the hands of Ulinzi Stars at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Leopards dominated play with the lion’s share of possession but it counted for nothing at the end of it all as they fell to a fifth consecutive defeat.

Mbungo also believes that his players are suffering from a confidence crisis and will need time to fit into his football philosophy before the results can begin trickling.

“It’s true (lack of confidence); it’s now three matches we have lost but I have only been here for two weeks.

“Players have a problem with confidence but we will work on it because we have played well yet no win,”he lamented.

The former Rwandese national team assistant coach also wants his strikers to get their scoring boots and be ice-cold in front of goal.

“I understand that fans want to see results and that the pressure is much to deliver. March is not too far for I want to use it to bring in some players particularly strikers,”he said.
