Champs-elect Homeboyz top seed at Christie 7s

Champions-elect Menengai Cream Homeboyz are seeded first for the last leg of the National Sevens Series, the 52nd edition of the Christie 7s starting September 17 at the RFUEA Grounds.

The Deejayz will officially be crowned the 2016 overall series winners during this weekend tournament, under the guidance of the national sevens team assistant coach Paul Murunga.

They are in Pool A alongside the Series defenders Top Fry Nakuru RFC who finished 8th in Nanyuki 7s, bowl winners Blak Blad and Stormers RFC who have been invited after failing to secure the automatic qualification at the second division of Nanyuki 7s.

Pool B is headlined by Nanyuki 7s runners up KCB RFC followed by plate semi-finalists Kabras Sugar RFC, Bowl finalists Catholic Monks and last in that pool is Uganda’s Kobs who have been invited to feature in this leg.

Pool C sees Resolution Impala Saracens headline the pool where they grouped with Strathmore Leos, 10th placed Menengai Oilers and Nondescript RFC who missed the Nanyuki 7s due to injury concerns.

Mwamba RFC, fresh from a season best fourth placing at the Nanyuki Sevens are in Pool D with hosts Kenya Harlequin, Mean Machine and Nanyuki Sevens Division Two champions Daystar Falcons.
