Change of guard at City Stars as struggling outfit fire coach Kintu
National Super League side Nairobi City Stars have parted ways with Ugandan coach Jimmy Kintu just three months after he was hired following a worrying performance.
City have had a dismal run collecting just eight points from 13 matches since the Ugandan took charge.
The 31-year old Ugandan contracted at the start of the year taking over from coach-turned-assistant John Amboko who had seen an abysmal run that had them 16th in the 20-team league.
The situation has in fact worsened, the former KPL side dropping to third from bottom a situation that has pushed club Chairman Peter Jabuya to pull the trigger barely a week after he alluding to it.
Assistant coach John Amboko takes over the second tier outfit on interim basis assisted by team manager and former Kenya international Tillian Oguta, with 15 matches to the end of the season as the lying three points off safety.
