Cinema thrash Country Bus in Koth Biro opener
Koth Biro champions Cinema FC defeated Country Bus FC 4-0 as they made an emphatic start to their title defence bid at the Umeme Grounds in Ziwani Estate, Nairobi.
Victor Wallerah led the rout with a superb second half brace after Leroy Otieno had put them 1-0 up in the 19th minute. Pablo Orwa then scored late on to round off a dominant Saturday afternoon for Cinema.
The Maringo-based club is seeking a clinch the off season competition now in its 41st edition and head coach Stephen Mwaura has backed his team will go all the way.
“Our main aim is to defend title; we are using young players who are still not playing Kenya’s top leagues, and as a team you will always face challenges.
“We want to win all matches because winning three games in the group stages that’s when one is always sure of moving to the next level, we just want to put God first because I believe we will win,” Mwaura said.
