Shujaa were knocked out from Main Cup contention by a clinical South Africa as an error strewn Kenya allowed the Green Shirts to punish them 19-5 at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.

For almost four minutes the match remained scoreless with South Africa dominating possession and after camping in the Kenyan 22, Davids Selvyn kicked to speedster Siviwe Soyizwapi who scored in the corner flag.

Cecil Afrika duly converted to hand the visitors a 7-point advantage. The response was immediate by captain Andrew Amonde who bundled over the try line for Kenya’s first points.

Daniel Taabu missed the resultant conversion as South Africa led 7-5 at the interval.

In the second half, Davids turned from scorer to provider after capitalizing on a turnover for a 12-5 score, with Afrika adding the extras for a 14-5 lead.

Another patient build up by the Blitzbokke left the Kenyan defense scrambling and Soyizwapi scored his second of the match and South Africa’s third for a 19-5 score..

Shujaa tried to salvage the match but time was not on their side as they were knocked out from the Main Cup contention, dropping to the third and fourth.
