Coach Trucha set for Leopards unveiling

New AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha will officially be unveiled next week after penning down a two-year contract with the Kenyan Premier League club.

The Czech beat four other candidates for the job and has already taken charge of the Leopards training at the High Altitude Camp in Iten in the company of his predecessor, now his assistant, Antony ‘Modo’ Kimani.

Among the attributes that put the former Botswana giants Township Rollers coach above the rest are his youth programs and the Europe connection advantage that will likely open doors for Leopards players abroad.

Leopards have signed Harrison Mwendwa and goalkeeper John Oyemba all from Kariobangi Sharks, striker Bienvenue Shaka from Tunisian giants Etoile Sportif Du Sahel and Fabrice Mugheni from Rayon Sports of Rwanda.
