Defender Nkata set for Bandari exit

Fred Nkata will leave Bandari FC at the end of the year when his contract with the FKF Premier League club expires, the Ugandan fullback has confirmed.

Nkata, who won two shield trophies during his four-year stay at Bandari, thanked the club and his teammates adding he felt it was the right time to move on elsewhere.

“Its with a heavy heart that I announce I will be leaving Bandari FC at the end of my contract this December 2020, I leave with good memories and I feel it is right time to make another step in my career,” he wrote.

Nkata played a big role in the CAF Confederation last year before he was injured leaving Siraj Mohammed to fill the for him.

The former Tusker FC and Nairobi City Stars player was left out of Bandari’s 30-man squad for the new season after going AWOL during the pre-season.

Bandari team Manager Wison Obungu said before the start of the season that they have lost communication with the Ugandan fullback and they have removed his name in their first leg plans.

“Nkata is not reached in any means although he is still our player but he will not be included in the first leg squad”.

Bandari signed Shanzu United left back Sammy Kilonzi and joined them through their youth system but can be called up when needed.
