Dominant GSU in no mood to relinquish title

Reigning national men’s volleyball champions GSU bagged nine points in the third leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation League that served off on Friday at Eldoret Polytechnic grounds in Uasin Gishu County.

Clustered in Pool ‘A’, the paramilitary side defeated Bungoma County and Western Prisons before seeing off Bomet County by three straight sets (25-6, 25-15 25-20)to extend their dominance in the league.

Enroute to winning the third leg title, GSU overcame Nairobi Prisons 3-2 (25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 13-15) in a tough duel at the Eldoret Polytechnic.

Meanwhile, Afraha B beat Bunge 3-0 while Naks won against Kahawa by the same margin (25-22, 25-13, 25-21) as Afraha A were also triumphant beating Central Bank 3-0(25-10, 25-13, 25-10).

Newbie Bungoma County women team also posted impressive performance at the weekend, winning two of their opening matches which included a 3-0(25-14, 25-23, 25-22) demolition of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation .They however lost  the last group match against KPC.
