Eastlands gets a boxing ring

Embakasi West constituency in Nairobi has a new boxing ring that will serve the larger eastern part of Nairobi in an effort to revive the sport.

The 7 million shillings ring was purchased by the area MP George Theuri.

The MP used Ksh 5 million from the CDF kitty to purchase the ring.

The ring is movable and can be taken to any venue as per requests by boxing clubs in that part of Nairobi.

It was first used Saturday afternoon in exciting friendly spurs by boxers from as young as 12 years to established boxers in various clubs.

Another ring is being set up in Umoja One by the MP with the help of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko.
