England have moved on from Russia blow-Wilshere

The sense of ‘disappointment’ following on from England’s 1-1 draw with Russia in their opening Euro 2016 clash has subsided, according to midfielder Jack Wilshere.

The Arsenal playmaker believes his side have come to terms with conceding the crushing stoppage-time equaliser and take confidence from flaunting their technical ability throughout compared to criticised previous generations.

Looking ahead to their next match with Wales, Wilshere insists their approach won’t be to ‘bounce back’ having came away with a point, and thinks a similar level of performance will produce a positive result against Gareth Bale and their familiar neighbours.

Wilshere also acknowlged their travelling fans’ support, despite a serious threat of expulsion from the tournament hanging over the team if scenes of violence continue in and around stadiums.
