Ethiopia down Harambee Stars in CHAN qualifying match

Kenya’s Harambee Stars lost 2-0 to Ethiopia in an African Nations Championship (CHAN) match played at the Bahir Dar Stadium in Ethiopia Sunday afternoon.

Ethiopia’s first goal came in the 23^rd minute with Asechalew Girma the hero while the second came in the 77^th minutes courtesy of Gatoch Panom.

Kenya’s Kevin Kimani missed a chance to save blushes for Harambee Stars moments later when his penalty kick was saved by Ethiopia’s goalkeeper Tarik Getnet.

Harambee Stars now have a hard task of ensuring they beat Ethiopia by at least three goals to nil to ensure automatic qualification into the final round of the qualifiers when the two sides meet again in two weeks in Nairobi.
