Fit again Ochomo glad to be back, aims to help Bandari cause

Bandari striker Wycliffe Ochomo is confident that his return from injury will help spur the team’s fighting spirit as they keep up their quest for a maiden Kenyan Premier League title.

Ochomo who was on the bench in their last weekend game against Western Stima where Bandari won 2-1 is likely to feature in today’s game against KCB FC at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

In an interview with Citizen Digital, Ochomo said he is happy to be back and is ready to help Bandari’s striking force which has struggled to find the back of the net in their recent matches.

The bully striker who has five KPL goals to his name was injured in February during Bandari’s 1-0 over Kariobangi Sharks at MISC Kasarani.

“I know Bandari has been struggling in front of goal and now God has answered their prayers. I am fit and back to business,” he charged.

Ochomo who had a target of 15 goals at the start of the season said the injury has dragged him back but he will work hard to score more.

“Every striker’s target is to scoop the golden boot but I will do my level best to help my team for the remaining matches,” he stated.

Nigerian Alex Orotomal who was signed to help plug the gap left by Ochomo during the injury spell has also found it hard to find form.

Bandari take on KCB this afternoon at their Mbaraki Sports club backyard as they battle to return to the top of the league table.

The Dockers are third with 42 points after playing 22 games, two points shy of leaders Gor Mahia and second placed Sofapaka who are all on 44 points.
