FKF body to hear Gor, Leopards appeals on Monday

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Appeals Committee will have its first ever sitting to hear and determine cases filed before it by Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards on Monday.

The two sides were deducted three points each by the Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) for crowd trouble.

“As mentioned earlier we received appeals from both the two clubs and forwarded them to the Appeals Committee. The committee has since informed us that it will have its first sitting on Monday next week to determine the issue,” federation CEO Robert Muthomi said in a statement on Thursday.

The KPL disciplinary body found Gor  guilty of failing to control its fans and supporters during a league match against Tusker FC played on April 16 while Leopards were punished for allowing their fans and stewards access to the pitch, an action that caused chaos and consequent abandonment of their clash against Ulinzi Stars on April 23 in Mumias.
