FKF call killed our KPL dream, Coast Stima coach Ogai mourns

Coast Stima head coach Paul Ogai has berated Football Kenya Federation for the unilateral manner it ended the National Super League.

Ogai believes his charges had a real chance of earning promotion to the top-tier league but the unilateral decision by FKF to end the campaign, he argues, spoiled the party.

He feels FKF could have done better by summoning the parties for a round-table meeting to look for a way forward, that way reaching a decision which is “acceptable’ to all parties.

The KPLC sponsored team were in a good form, before the competition was halted in March, and were yet to lose any of their second leg matches, sitting fourth on the log .

He said:”I am out of words because we were almost hitting the target but there is nothing we can do now.

“I don’t think I will have a good squad than what I had as Magige(Dennis) and Iddi (Hassan) are going back to Bandari after their loan spell elapsed,” said the former Western Stima tactician.

“Ombija, our golden striker, is also followed by many clubs; we will have hard times ahead”, he said, resigning to fate.
