Flying start to NSL life for Isabania

Isibania FC began life in the National Super League with a bang as they humiliated Nakuru All-Stars 3-1 at the Awendo Green Stadium as the 2018 season kicked off in earnest at the weekend.

A brace from Patrick Mvita and Abdalla Ismael’s goal registered the highest tally in the NSL opening fixtures.

Ushuru who narrowly missed the Premier League promotion last season also registered an important win, a2-0 victory against Administration Police, a positive start for head coach Ken Kenyatta.

At the Camp Toyoyo grounds, KCB were awarded a walk-over after Muhoroni Youth failed to honour the fixture, granting the hosts three easy points and a 2-0 scoreline.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, the bankers’ head coach John Kamau said: “We did very well in our pre-season tournaments and we are building on that. We signed quality players and they have interacted well with the old ones so we are progressing very well.We will take each game very seriously.”

At the same time, Kamau admits that it will be no walk in the park and is expecting a tough season.

Meanwhile, Douglas Morara’s Talanta FC registered a barren draw against Police FC while Kisumu All-Stars and St Joseph FC also fought to a similar scoreline.
