Former Kenya, Homeboyz ace Wekesa murdered

The Kenyan rugby fraternity has been plunged into mourning once again after former Kenyan international Andrew Wekesa was killed by suspected thugs Sunday.

Wekesa was on his way to his Mlolongo home in the outskirts of the Kenyan capital Nairobi when he was allegedly stabbed to death by his assailants.

Wekesa, 25, was a forward at Homeboyz RFC and recently graduated from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Investigations into the incident are currently underway.

Wekesa was part of the Under 19 team that represented Kenya in 2012.

Wekesa is the third Kenyan player to pass on after the deaths of Mwamba’s Victor Wayodi and Nondescripts’ Ogeto Gacheo in 2016.
