Free-scoring Rupia wont slow down

AFC Leopards scoring machine Elvis Rupia has vowed to work hard and remain consistent with his goal scoring after a sensational start to the FKF Premier League season.

Rupia has acknowledged that it is not his own doing but instead crediting God for his scoring prowess which makes him the second most dangerous man in the 2020-2021 FKF Premier League season.

The former Wazito FC striker has been on near perfect form and recently netted his ninth goal in the 2-0 win against Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani on Sunday.

His main mission this season remains to top the scorers charts which will earn him a golden boot as he aims to rally Ingwe to their maiden league title in more than 22 years.

“First of all is God first and then the rest will just fall in place on the pitch. As far as my target on goals I want to score I just want to say that it is something I don’t like basing on so much but I have my goals. e just need to hope for good health and then what we will see how the next tie shall be (against Posta Rangers),” Rupia said.

Rupia has also noted that team discipline and ability to follow instructions from their coaching staff led by head coach Antony Modo Kimani has been key to their solid form.

“As a team we have done really well by obeying all the instructions relayed to us by our coaches. The efficiency of the team as whole has also contributed heavily on the outstanding performances and results,” stated Rupia.

Rupia is only two goals shy of the FKF-PL top scorer Eric Kapaito of Kariobangi Sharks who sits top of the chart on 11 goals.
