Fuming Simba decry poor officiating in Super Cup match

Tanzanian football giants Simba SC has bemoaned the level of officiating in the Super Cup competition challenging referees to pull up their socks.

Speaking in the wake of his team’s 3-2 post-match penalty victory over Kariobangi Sharks, Simba spokesman Haji Manala expressed his discontent at the referees’ performance in the  match, challenging them to pull up their socks.

“I am a bit disappointed by the referees in this tournament. Some of their decisions are so unfair .We could have ended our game against Sharks in regular time but the referee made some decisions which caused our team,” Manala said.

“We only want to see the genuine winner representing East African region by playing against Everton at Goodson Park.”

Manala has at the same time sent a stern warning to Kenyan side Kakamega Homeboyz whom they’ll meet in the semis tomorrow, warning them to expect fireworks.

“We will not change our team because many of the key players are injured; the likes of John Boko and Emmanuel Okwi, so it’s good to rest them so that they can be fit next season.

Meanhwile, Kariobangi Sharks tactician William Muluya has blamed his strikers for not converting the numerous chances created.

Sharks will now shift focus to the league campaign.
