Despite dominating the match for long spells, Sharks found themselves trailing from Derrick Onyango’s strike after a hard work from Geoffrey Kataka who robbed the ball from defender Wycliffe Otieno to tee up the unmarked Onyango who had the simplest of tasks, tapping in for Wazito’s opener in the 19th minute.

Onyango had a chance to double his side’s lead ten minutes later following a beautiful move initiated by Ferdinand Wanjala in the middle of the park.

Wanjala fed Onyango with a through ball but the latter saw his effort saved by Mathew.

After the breather, Sharks upped the tempo pressing for an equaliser and it did not take long before defender Hillary Otieno headed home a James Mazembe’s corner for an equalizer.

Sharks coach William Muluyha made his first substitution two minutes later as he looked to inject fresh legs in his attack, with Henry Juma replacing Vincent Wasambo.

Sharks however found the breakthrough nine minutes from time, Ebrahim Sanneh smashing home a bullet header, his second goal in his last two matches.

However, when it seemed that Sharks were destine for victory, Wazito equalized with just two minutes left, Omollo driving in a free-kick awarded but the former had their way in the lotteries.
