Get ready, Homeboyz warn Bandari of tough battle

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Nicholas Muyoti says their gallant fight against Sudi based Nzoia Sugar to earn the three points at the weekend is a catalyst for maximum points when they face Bandari on Wednesday.

Homeboyz milled Nzoia 2-1 at Sudi Stadium and Muyoti believes Saturday’s result can only be better against the 12th   placed Bandari.

“We are going for the three points and nothing less. We have to keep fighting. Bandari won their last match and we are aware their morale is high, my boys are in good form and you could see it during the Nzoia match,” he said.

Homeboyz has had a good run, registering seven wins and losing just three in 12 outings.

Stat attack: despite losing just one match of their last six since October, Homeboyz must still be wary of hard fighting Bandari as they have conceded an average of 0.5 goals per game during the 50-70 minute period across the five of the six games in sequence.

The Kakamega based outfit has scored 22 goals so far which is average 1.82 per game, conceded 15 goals in the campaign which translates to 1.36 per match.

Meanwhile, the Bernard Mwalala coached side Bandari produced the highlight of match day 13 at the  weekend in Mombasa after the Coast based outfit ended their winless run in a 4-1 victory against visiting moneybags Wazito.

The side has won three matches, drawn three and lost five matches tally (W3, D3, L5,).

The side is hoping to replicate the same against Homeboyz in their next assignment.

Elsewhere, Posta Rangers continued with their lackluster performance after they lost 5-1 against KCB.

The side lost 1-0 against brewers Tusker and was hopeful of redeeming themselves against the Bankers who only inflicted more pain to them.

Posta Rangers have won four matches so far, drawn five and lost three (W4, D5, L3). They  visit struggling Sharks on Sunday.

Fourth placed  KCB visit eighth placed “Ingwe” on Thursday in a battle of titans as Leopards will seek to redeem themselves from the last weekend tribulations in Mumias.
