Goetze seals Dortmund return

Germany attacking midfielder Mario Goetze has completed a move back to Borussia Dortmund, three years after leaving the Westfalenstadion for Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself at the Bundesliga champions since joining for a fee of 37 million Euros in July 2013.

And now he’s returning to the club where he made his name, having signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

In a statement on their official website, Goetze admitted he regrets the decision to move to Munich in the first place and hopes he can convince the Dortmund faithful to welcome him back.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel will no doubt be delighted with his new attacking recruit, having already lost Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United and with rumours continuing to swirl around the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
