Gor finally land in Algiers after cold night in Morocco
Milton Ochieng in Algiers
After enduring a long and cold night at the Casablanca Airport in Morocco, weary Gor Mahia players and technical bench officials landed here at Algiers International Airport shortly after 4.30pm Kenyan time with a contingent of 17 players and four officials.
The team is headed to ”City Hotel” where the club chairman Ambrose Rachier had booked them. Their arrival is a sigh of relief for the club boss and the fans.
Despite the fatigue and jet lag, the team is penciled to have a light training session this evening at the 05 JuIllet Stadium in Algiers — the venue of tomorrow’s match.
The team endured a horrific long journey, travelling through long route and spending the night at Morocco’s Casablanca Airport after failing to secure a hotel.
Despite their off the pitch troubles, Gor are in a must win scenario when they battle the hosts, USM Algers in a decisive Group D clash with a ticket to the quarter final on the cards.
