Gor held by Aigle Noir in CAF Champions League

Gor Mahia FC drew 0-0 with Aigle Noir in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary match on Sunday, marking Steve Pollack’s first competitive match  in charge of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions.

Gor will feel disappointed for failing to get an away goal which could be have handed them a slight advantage over the Burundians ahead of the return leg clash on August 24 in Nairobi.

Nicholas Kipkirui and Dickson Ambundo were paired up in front to hunt for the goals while Tanzanian goalkeeper David Robert Mapigano took charge between the sticks ahead of Fredrick Odhiambo.

Pollack has the tough task of at least matching the historic quarter-final finish achieved by Gor last year and will be hoping his charges can fire at home.
