Gor Mahia succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Petro Atletico of Angola in their second Group ‘D’ game of the CAF Confederations Cup, a match played at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in the Angolan capital Luanda Wednesday evening.

Petro, who lost their opening game to Hussein Dey of Algeria raced to a 2-0 lead through strikes from Manguxi and Tony, giving them the lead at the break, but Nicholas Kipkirui struck late, late into the game to give Gor a consolation, but it was an effort in futility.

Gor have three points from two matches having won the opening game 4-2 against Zalamek of Egypt at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
