Gor Mahia Overcome Off Pitch Drama to Sink Sony in Awendo

Ali Abondo’s 57th minute strike was enough to ensure K’ogalo stretch their unbeaten run to ten matches and extending their lead at the top of the table to 26 points.

Despite arriving in Awendo eleven hours to kick-off, Gor Mahia gave a stunning performance to extend Sony’s misery losing two matches in a row.

The first half proved difficult with both teams going to the break goalless to the disappointment of Gor Mahia fans who knew they should be ahead by the break.

Kogalo, however, returned rejuvenated to score the only goal of the match to ensure they win their eighth match out of ten played this season and walk home with all the three points.

Sony currently lies 8th in the log with 14 points.
