Gor Mahia return to the pitch this afternoon to confront Lydia Ludic of Burundi in their second Group B game aiming for a win to boost their chances of qualifying for the quarters.

In their opening match on Sunday, the Kenyan glamour club surrendered a two goal lead to settle for a two-all- draw and will be out to atone for the mistakes.

Coach Dylan Kerr, in an interview after the 2-2 draw with Rayon Sports said that he’ll pick a squad that will win the match.

“We can’t afford to make mistakes. We gonna pick a squad that will have to win the match,”Kerr said, citing fatigue in his team’s first game having landed here on Friday night, less than 24hrs to their clash.

The group looks delicately balanced with Ports of Djibouti leading the cluster with three points having beaten Lydia Ludic in their opening game.

Gor and Rayon are tied on a point apiece while the Burundians are at the tail end with no point.

Kerr is expected to make changes in the squad with some of the reserves in the first game likely to be given a run.

Ivorian striker Ephrem Guikan who suffered a dead leg in the nervy 2-2 draw with Rayon is poised to start having shrugged off the challenge.

The goal scoring burden will however be shouldered by Jacques Tuyisenge who has become the focal point in attack after the departure of his compatriot Meddie Kagere.

Gor head into the 4pm kickoff as the overwhelming favourites based on their profile.

Meanwhile, at the same venue, in a 2pm battle, Ports and Rayon will collide with each side keen to preserve their stay at the tourney.
