Gor Mahia FC have signed Sony Sugar head coach Patrick Odhiambo to replace Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno as the club’s assistant manager.

The highly experienced coach has previously managed at Chemelil  Sugar and Agro Chemicals and also had a stint with Muhoroni Youth and Western Stima.

He joins K’Ogalo at a time when they are preparing for the Cecafa Kagame tournament due in Rwanda from July 6 after  they were cleared by the regional body to represent Kenya.

He will serve assistant to Turk Hasan Oktay who returns from leave in Britain this week. He took over Sony when it had meager resources and helped them finish 4th last season.

Gor will have a congested season from fighting to retain their league title to representing the country in the Caf Champions League and also the Cecafa  Kagame Cup.

They will also fight for the shield cup alongside the Super eight Cup.
