Gor sign Ugandan Sekissambu from Vipers

Gor Mahia FC have signed striker Erisa Sekissambu from Vipers SC, the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions confirmed on Thursday.

The Ugandan international joins the club on a two-year deal and becomes their fifth signing as they continue to strengthen for upcoming season.

“Wishing our former player Erisa Ssekisambu all the best in his move to Kenya with Gor Mahia.

“Your efforts in leading the line to our third League title will never be forgotten,” Vipers tweeted on Thursday morning.

Sekissambu helped Vipers win their third Ugandan Premier League (UPL) title and is viewed as a direct replacement for Ephrem Guikan.

Gor assistant secretary general Ronald Ngala confirmed that Ivorian Guikan asked to leave the club after a spell in which he scored 13 goals in all competitions for the record KPL champions.

K’Ogalo have already signed four players in Pascal Ogweno (Kariobangi Sharks), Kenneth Muguna, who returns from Albanian side KF Tirana, Ugandan Shaffik Batambuze from Tanzanian side Singida United and Chrispine Ogendo from Kenyatta University.
