It was a busy weekend for Kenya Hockey as teams from the national league and premier league lined up for action at the City Park, Nairobi.

First up in the lower division national league A, Log leaders Mombasa sports club went head on with Gorilla in the first fixture of the day.

The Coastal based club showed signs of domination in the early exchanges of the match attacking the Gorilla defense on several occasion but failed to capitalize on their chances for a lead thanks to brilliant defending from the Gorilla side.

The Collins Wanyonyi-managed side got a golden chance to take the lead in the second period after they were handed a penalty for an infringement. But then Gabriel Wafumba saw his flick go wide off the mark.
