Gor Mahia FC striker Benson Omalla will join Swedish side Linkopings on loan until December after finishing his KSCE examinations, club CEO Lordvick Aduda has said.

Omalla signed a two-year contract with Gor when he joined from Western Stima but Aduda says the opportunity to play in Europe at his early age will develop him better as a player.

“He is a top talent and only needs to be nurtured. Playing in Europe will grant him a chance to get exposed to playing at a higher level,” Aduda said.

Aduda added the club is open to making the move permanent.

“Football is business so if they opt to buy we will definitely be willing to engage them in talks but at the moment our wish is to see him develop properly and grow his career.”

At the same time the official confirmed the players at the club missed training on Tuesday because of unpaid allowances but said they held talks with the club chairman and they are expected to return to training this afternoon.
