Gor’s opponents Esperance jet in, head to Machakos-PHOTOS
Gor Mahia’s opponents in Wednesday Caf- Champions League round one tie Esperance touched down in Nairobi on Monday morning ahead of the titanic clash and were immediately driven to the Machakos Gilan Hotel where they’ll reside ahead of the game.
A squad of 18 players, backroom staff and team officials touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly after 8 am ahead of what is expected to be a stern test.
K’Ogalo earned a ticket to the first round after dispatching Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round and will be out to knock out the Tunisia giants who have been a pain in their past meetings.
Meanwhile, defender Wellington Ochieng is set to spend up to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering a broken ankle in their 2-0 win over Bandari in a Kenyan Premier League at the weekend.
Ochieng collided with Bandari’s Keegan Ndemi as he challenged for the ball which resulted in him twisting his ankle.
His absence is a big blow to the high flying champions who face a litmus test from visiting Tunisian powerhouse.
