Homeboyz coach Muyoti, Wanga appeal to govt to allow FKF-PL restart

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Nicholas Muyoti  and his captain Allan Wanga have appealed to the government to allow the Football Kenya Federation Premier League to continue.

The duo reckons that many depend on the game for their livelihood, moreso the players who are finding life unbearable with lack of action.

“As much as we understand the situation we believe the government can come to an agreement with the federation on how we can resume football because this is our livelihood and we are missing out a lot. We believe it is possible to do sports as long as we observe all the measures put in place by the government,” said Muyoti.

Muyoti’s sentiments found backing in Wanga who says ‘things are tough’.

“At the moment everything is flat and it’s not a good situation. We are hoping and praying that very soon we will get back to doing what we do best, playing football and making our fans happy,” the veteran striker who has so far scored three goals before the season was halted, explained.

In a separate interview with Citizen Digital last year, the Homeboyz captain urged Kenyan footballers to invest in other income generating activities as a way of preparing for life after football.

Wanga retired from international football in 2019 after playing 44 matches scoring 22 goals.
