Horoya dump Bandari out of CAF Confed Cup

AC Horoya became the first team to book a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages after bundling out Bandari FC with a 5-2 on aggregate victory in the playoffs.

Horoya came into return leg in Nairobi with a healthy 4-2 advantage and never looked like they would relinquish it and saw out the Kenyans 1-0 on Sunday thanks to Ocansey Mandela’s second half goal.

Bandari started the game with a high pace with William Wadri missing on a first minute cross from Abdallah Hassan shooting wide.

It did not stop there as the Benard Mwalala’s coached side keep on pushing and missing more chances as Abdallah Hassan and Danson Chetambe were fed well from Wadri’s crosses.

Guinean hit-man Aristide Bance who scored hatrick in the first leg in Conackry was nowhere to be seen as he was man marked by Bandari’s defence led by Felly Mulumba.

Mwalala introduced three man army led by Wycliff Ochomo, Shaban Kenga and Benjamin Mosha but their efforts failed to bear any fruit.

Kenya’s other representative Gor mahia play DC Motema Pembe of DRC after the first leg ended in a one all draw in first leg.
