Impala Floodlit rugby finals

The hosts Impala are set to face the champions KCB with player Kenny Anola making his debut in the team after being named as they face off at the impala floodlit rugby final taking place at the impala sports club grounds today, Saturday.

Head coach Curtis Olago is taking nothing to chance as he places Anola to start of as fly half, who is to link up with former Kenya scrum half Felix Wanjala.

Kenya sevens skipper Andrew Amonde has however been retained in the back row, to partner with Netsa Okotch and Elly Mukaizi.

Meanwhile, Impala coach Fred Ollows sticks to his core group but however replaces Anthony Nyandagisi who faces a groin strain with the decorated Innocent “namcos” Simiyu who is to start of today’s match from the bench.

Both sides hold similar chances of winning from their previous matches where they displayed skill and strategy.

In the semi finals held last weekend, impala defeated strathmore leos 32-5 for the first time in three years while KCB edged out homeboyz 22-18.

Mwamba had a day to forget when KCB crushed them with a staggering 28- 0 defeat, while Implala claimed victory over Kenya harlequin 49-17 in the quarter finals.

Tonight marks impala’s first final since their last victory in 2010, while the bankers seek to become the third team to win the floodlit, after Mean Machine and Impala.
