Injury ravaged Bandari narrow down on three transfer targets

Bandari FC are planning to add three new players in their roster as they continue with quest of winning a maiden Kenyan Premier League title this season.

The Dockers have already signed Nigerian Alex Orotomal who featured yesterday for some 20 minutes as they fell 0-2 to Sony Sugar, their third loss of the season, and are angling to further reinforce the squad.

According to Bandari FC coach Bernard Mwalala, the targeted trio will reinforce the goalkeeping, central midfield and the flanks.

The Coastal based side have so far lost centre back Bernard Odhiambo and goalkeeper Mustapha Oduor to injuries and the duo will be out until next term.

“We lost Odhiambo yesterday.  Mustapha is already out, adding to the injury list that has Ochomo(Wycliffe) and Nkata(Fred) so we need to reinforce our squad very fast,” observed Mwalala.

He added: “Already we have identified the three players and we are finalizing the terms before we sign in a week’s time.”

The trio are local talents as Bandari have already reached the required Kenyan Premier League foreign quarter.

“We already have Mwana, Wadri, Mulumba, Hamisi and Orotomal so we are after local players to help us achieve our vision,”explained Mwalala.

Bandari have seen their lead at the summit of the log evaporate and are currently  placed third on the 18-team log with 32 points, behind leaders Sofapaka(33) and Gor Mahia(32).
