Intruder jailed for raid in Mourinhos Ksh3.378b house

While Jose Mourinho watched his beloved Portugal steal a late goal against France in the Euro 2016 final an intruder had plans to ruin the party.

The Manchester United manager’s Euro celebrations where interrupted when crook Gabor Roman, 25, broke into the luxury Westminster town house where he was watching the game on July 10.

The £25million (Ksh3,378,448,245.81) house is believed to Mourinho’s London home and sits among a street of glamorous properties in an exclusive part of central London.

Roman was caught by a security guard, hired by residents, who had earlier spotted him walking up to each home on the street and looking for points of entry, reports the Sun.

The crook, of no fixed address, had tried to break into the Mourinho-property through a basement door – which alerted a maid who was carrying out chores.

The security guard quickly reacted and blocked the fleeing Roman, who had no choice but to wait until police arrived.

A team of eight officers arrived on the scene and Roman was quickly apprehended and arrested.

Mourinho was later seen in his pyjamas looking bemused as police officers arrested the man in front of the home’s window.

A witness told the Sun: ‘Jose looked dumbfounded. I don’t think it had registered with the guy he was trying to burgle the house of the world’s most famous football coach.’

Roman was later sentenced to four months for attempted burglary at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

However, on the night of the final, the ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid manager did not let the incident ruin his celebrations.

The Portuguese posted a picture of himself holding the scarf on his account with a caption, which read ‘if you want to visit the country of the European champions visit Portugal’.

It was a particularly busy day for the United manager who had been at Wimbledon hours earlier.

Mourinho was pictured in the Centre Court crowd as Andy Murray beat Milos Raonic to win his second Wimbledon men’s singles title.
