Jet Takkunen wins in thrilling National Motocross Championship

Uganda’s Orland brothers rode as guest riders in Kenya on Sunday and dominated the first round of the National Motocross Championship at Jamhuri Park racetrack with zest and vigour.

Alon Orland riding in 50cc came home second behind Kit Garner of Kenya.

In the 65cc, Uganda’s Stav Orland emerged the winner ahead of Jet Takkunen of Kenya.  But Jet was the official national 65 winner despite coming home second.

Aviv Orland of Uganda came first in MX85 followed by Maina Wanjigi of Kenya. Wanjigi scored maximum points in MX85.

The Orlands didn’t score points on the Kenyan championship but sounded an alarm in the run up to the FIM Africa Central Africa Championship, which is a two way championship featuring Kenya and Uganda.

Speedster Ngugi Waweru won the MX2 with Rolf Kihara defeating Ethan Nyachae to the MX125 dash.

Kit Garner emerged the victor in MX50 with Jet Takkunen taking MX65 honours. Maina Wanjigi won MX85 as Shivam Vinayak made a comeback on his MX1 comeback.
