Kabras humiliate MMUST in Kenya Cup opener
Kabras Sugar got their 2021 Kenya Cup campaign off to a flyer crushing newly promoted varsity side MMUST 56-00 in a match played at ASK Showground Kakamega.
The Enterprise Cup champions got their first try through Alfred Orege after a one two pass from captain Dan Sikuta with Brian Tanga scoring at the centre post. Ntabeni Dukisa converted to make it 07-00 in the second minute.
Kabras got a penalty in the 10th minute Jeason Misoga scoring to extend the scoreline to 10- 00.
The tries kept on coming with relative ease, this time Misoga scoring the second in the 16th minute but South African Dukisa missed the extras. Walter Okoth then ran through the MMUST defence, slicing it like a knife on yam to claim the third and Dukisa did it justice with the conversion to extend the tally to 22-00.
Skipper Sikuta would later put his name on the scoresheet but Dukisa this time failed with his kicking duties as Felix Ayange and Brian Tonga also crossed the whitewash.
Kabras came out stronger in the second half with Derrick Ashihundu scoring the eighth try in the 70th minute, Dukisa adding the extras to make it 51-00 before Kevin Wesonga had the final say with the ninth try for a 56-00 scorleine.
