Kagere not missed as five-star Gor dispatch Posta

Gor Mahia began life without Meddie Kagere on a sizzling note beating Posta Rangers 4-0 in a league match at the Kisumu County Stadium on Tuesday.

George ‘BlackBerry’ Odhiambo was the star man with second half brace with Lawrence Juma, Jacques Tuyisenge and Ephrem Guikan were also on target.

Tuyisenge opened the goal accounts in the 18th minute from the spot after Joackins Atudo had fouled him in the box. For his transgressions, Atudo was given marching orders, reducing the mailmen to 10 men.

Guikan, benefiting from the exit of Kagere then widened the advantage in the 38th minute with a diving header after connecting with a sumptuous Francis Kahata well-worked corner.

Gor continued with their domination and seven minutes after the break,  George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo added another, before completing his hat -tick in the last 10 minutes of the game.

The win hauled Gor’s points tally to 46, 12 ahead of Sofapaka who are on 34. K’Ogalo, unbeaten, still have two games in hand and should they get maximum points, they’ll stretch their points tally to 52.
