KCB Lions lick Kabras Sugar to retain Enterprise Cup

KCB retained the Enterprise Cup becoming the first team in 14 years to clinch Kenya’s oldest rugby 15s silverware back to back with a strirring 24-12 victory over Kabras Sugar at Nairobi’s RFUEA Grounds on Saturday.

Kabras took the lead after the first minute with Fijian Import Apenisa Natabua going over with Fabian Olando adding the extras.

The bankers struck back with a try but George Asinatabua stretched Kabras lead showing his power for a 12-5 lead.

KCB prop Oscar Simiyu drew the two sides level with a converted try and he was on the scoresheet two minutes later later to snatch the lead for 19-12 score.

Kenya sevens captain, Andrew Amonde made it a 12 point advantage with another try as KCB bossed kabras 24-12 at the interval.

In the second half, the scoreline remained unchanged from the first 40 as KCB’s defense stood firm while Kabras creativity on attack amounted to naught as they failed to add the Enterprise Cup title to their haul with the match ending in favor of the bankers.
