Kenya back to winning ways as Uganda throw down the marker

After falling to rivals Uganda in their third match of the qualifying series, Kenya Under 19 put up a spirited fight against Ghana winning by a convincing 109 runs in their fourth match.
Kenya, who won the toss and elected to bat, with the partnership of Aman Gandhi and Dennis Musyoka stepping on the crease.
Gandhi however was not at his best once again and scored 30 runs in 38 balls , including five boundaries. He was eventually bowled out by David Pereira.
His partner also fell short of his form managing 21 runs in 42 balls before being trapped out Leg before wicket (LBW) by Pereira.
The action was once again in the middle order, the Timothy Ochieng and Sachin Budhia partnership adding a further 68 runs with 8 boundaries combined before being bowled out by Aziz Sualley and Joseph Boagye. Wicket keeper and batsman Ankit Hirani also managed double figures with his 24 runs. He only hit two boundaries. Kenya eventually got a descent total of 221 run in all 50 overs for the loss of nine wickets.
Ghana, who lost against Kenya in their opening fixture, saw their top order of Aziz Sualley and Alex Osei  crushed by Yaksh Patel and Gerald Mwendwa and restricted to a paltry 22 runs.
Just like their opening Fixture, Ghana’s action was in the middle order, Theodore Joseph registering 40 runs in 75 balls faced. Ghana eventuall ran out of steam, all bowled out for a paltry 114 runs in 36 overs.
Kenya eventually winning by a whooping 107 runs. 17 year Old Kenyan Yaksh Patel was named man of the match, his first in the tournament.
In other results, hot favorites Uganda continued their impressive form against Botswana winning by a convincing 247 runs. Uganda wereefficient in batting, setting a target of 330 runs. Botswana only got to 83 runs.  They were all out in 25 overs.
