Kenya U-20 Coach John Kamau has called up 35 players for trials ahead of the team’s friendly match against South Africa on November, 26.

The players – who were scouted during Kenyan Premier League (KPL) U-20 tournament in August – are expected to report to Nairobi’s Kasarani Stadium by Sunday with successful trialists set to represent the country in the friendly outing.

“We have graduated seven players from the team from U-17 team who have really impressed during our time with them at the camp.

“We’re hoping to weed out age-cheating problems that have plagued the game but it all comes down to honesty from them. We are building a foundation for the senior team from U-20 team which according to our assessment is performing doing well.”

The team will travel to South Africa two days before the clash.
