Kenya Cup: Giants KCB, Kabras stay perfect

Giants KCB RFC and Kabras Sugar made it two wins on the trot as the Kenya Cup campaign entered round two on Saturday.

Kabras who crushed western Kenya based varsity side MMUST 55-00 last weekend stayed perfect with another dominant display beating  Strathmore Leos 35-9 at Impala Grounds in Nairobi while champions KCB claimed a narrow 35-32 victory over Kenya Harlequins at RFUEA as Blak Blad drew 12-12 with Menengai Oilers

The match between KCB and Quins was tight and tough making it the highlight game of the weekend but the Lions prevailed.

At the NAC Grounds in Nakuru, traveling Masinde Muliro had no luck losing 10-23 to Top Fry.

Having earned promotion from the second tier, the students will have to quickly adopt to life in the top division and improve, if they are to safeguard their status.

MMUST coached by Ochieng Ayala scored a converted try and a penalty against Nakuru’s  three tries converting one plus two drop kicks.
