Kenya will warm up for their semi final showing at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup when they play bottom-side USA in their last pool stage round robin clash on Tuesday.

The East Africans dispatched Japan 48-27 to seal their place in the last four from Pool B with their clash against the Americans who have lost all their four games a formality.

Kenya are second in Pool B with 11 points with Iran top of the table with 20.

James Obilo facilitated the much-needed win against Japan to emerge the game’s top scorer with 13 as he inflicted more suffering on the more-experienced Japanese team.

Kenya displayed great teamwork with pre-planned plans against the Asians taking lead with 11-5 points.

As the game proceeded towards the end of the first half, Japan clawed back to trail 13-16 hoping that their skipper, Masayuki Shimokawa would redeem them from a possible exit.

In other matches of the day, Kabaddi enthusiasts will be looking forward to the match between three-time World Cup winners, India and England in their pool A match later in the evening.

India are second in their table with 16 points behind Korea who have 25 points while England is at third place with 10 points.
