Fridah Mwangi registered Kenya’s only game victory at the AST lawn bowling after crushing Botswana’s Boikhutso Mookesti 21-9 as the competition concluded at the Nairobi Club on Thursday.

Mwangi bounced back to edge Mooketsi after a disastrous start that saw her suffer 21-14, 21-10 and 21-8 defeats to South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe respectively in the singles categories.

The lawn bowling women singles has been wrapped up today with Kenya finishing position four having won only one bowl game.

Zimbabwe won gold after finishing top ahead South Africa Zambia.

The top three will receive their medals at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi on Saturday.
