Kenyas 4x400m relay team race to finals at WU20

Kenya edged sprints powerhouses to storm to the men’s 4x400m relay finals at the World Under-20 Championships.

The quartet of Joshua Wanyonyi, Elkanah Kiprotich, Kennedy Kimeu and Peter Kithome clocked a season best of 3:05.77 to win the second heat as Jamaica and Botswana trailed Kenyans to finish second and third respectively.

Nigeria took the first heat in 3:06.70 followed by Ecuador, Poland and Italy respectively who also secured qualifications in Sunday’s finals.
