Kimanzi urges patience over Wazito project

Wazito FC head coach Francis Kimanzi has urged fans to be patient and trust the development process that he’s laying with the FKF Premier League side.

Kimanzi, who took over from Fred Ambani last year, said the club has enough quality and structure to win many titles in future but that would only be achieved requires patience and time for that to happen.

“Every project has its own challenges but the most important thing is to find players who are talented and willing to be develop to be better players and for the players that we have that has been the spirit ,” Kimanzi said.

Wazito are sixth on the log in the league standings.

“What we have tried to do with this team is at least to have many teams that can compete with the rest of the teams in the premier league and owner aim is to compete with the best in the league and that’s what we have been doing before,” he added.

The FKF-PL has not been played since last month when the Government announced the suspension of all sports activities, amongst other measures aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

Kimanzi is confident his side will keep fighting for the title when the league resumes.

“Any team from position seven have the chance to win the league the only challenge is now that the league has been stopped most teams will struggle finding their rhythm. The good thing for us is we have good balance.”
