RMS Kwambai bags Airtel Media Golf Challenge

Edwin Kwambai shot five under to clinch the first 2017 Airtel Media Golf challenge held at the Par 70 Golf Park course in Nairobi over the weekend.

The media golfer playing off handicap 18 managed a 41 in the opening round, grabbing 4 pars in the first 9, and closing with 42 to finish with 83 gross and lift the Airtel trophy.

Closely in his tail was Tony Kwalanda of Mediamax, who posted 4 under par to finish with 66 nett to take home the second place prize.

Kwalanda was playing off handicap 25. Mose Sammy of Standard Media Group landed on the third place slot with 1 over 70 after clocking in 71 nett.

Last year’s Airtel Media Challenge tournament winner Mac Otani of Royal Media Services managed the fourth place with 3 over 70 after finishing with 73 nett, playing off handicap 27 as he claimed the trophy for best second 9.

Christine Nyaga was the winner of the corresponding women’s competition with Janet Stephen coming second.
